Kindermusik Village:

The Kindermusik Village class provides a musically enriched environment unlike any other. We’ll sing to the babies, dance with them in our arms and play with baby-safe percussion instruments.   With your Kindermusik Educator leading the way, we’ll guide them to experience a rich assortment of musical concepts long before they have the language to talk about them.  The different ways that infants, crawlers and walkers interact with their world are all accommodated in our village.  And all this happens in a warm, supportive community of other babies and the adults who love them.

Your Kindermusik Educator is also your guide into how each activity contributes to your child’s development. Kindermusik engages in ongoing research about music and brain development that keep us in the forefront of early childhood music education.

Kindermusik at Home
Every Kindermusik class includes materials that go home with you, to help you re-create that musically enriched environment through the week.   Village classes include a CD, a board book, a baby-safe percussion instrument and other supporting materials.  You will receive a new set every time we change to a new theme – approximately every 8 weeks.

2012-13 Enrolment details

Classes are 45 minutes, weekly.  They run September to June, and you can join any time for an easy monthly fee of $73/month.  You can change to a different time slot or age level when you need to, or discontinue your enrolment with four weeks notice.

2012-13 Priority Registration for current families only begins Tuesday April 22.  Open registration will begin May 6, and the fall schedule will be visible online at that time.

We’ll enjoy 5 different themes over the year, each with a unique set of supporting materials to go home with you.  Every class will contain a blend of lively and relaxing activities. And every month there will be something new coming up in terms of our musical concepts and focus.

Short Spring Session: May 26 to June 29

(Nest Family Cemtre is May 7 to June 11)

Peek-A-Boo, I Love You! (Village: babies, newborn to 18 months, with an adult) Babies love Peek-a-boo! Learn new songs, lullabies, and ways to say “I love you” using touch, Mother Goose rhymes, songs and chants. Activities include instrument play, American Sign Language, and special parent-baby dances that stimulate baby’s eyes, body and mind. 45 minute class includes “Peek-A-Boo, I Love You” baby book, CD, and other special activity materials. 5 weeks

New this spring: Our first Peek-a-Boo class will take place at the new Nest Family Centre, at 667 Stafford Street.  This class begins earlier than the others, on Monday May 7 2012.  The rest of our spring session classes start the week of May 26 and end by June 29.

Winter 2012 Theme (January to May)

Join us for 15 weeks starting in late January with two new themes: ““Cock-a-doodle-Moo” & “Dew Drops”

“Cock-a-doodle-MOO” is a whimsical farm animal theme.  Let’s go on a hayride!  “Cock-a-doodle Moo!” runs for the first 7 weeks

“DewDrops” is our spring and flowers theme.  Can you spot the drop of dew on each page in the board book?  CD contains lovely and lively Celtic music. DewDrops runs for the last 8 weeks.

Both contain our usual variety of lively and calming activities, including some terrific multi-cultural selections.

45 minute lesson once a week for 15 weeks.  Each theme includes:  CD, board book, 2 wall banners and a unique musical instrument.

Fees for Winter Classes

Both themes, 15 weeks (starts January):  $330

“Cock-a-doodle Moo” only   (7 weeks starts January): $170

“DewDrops” only   (8 weeks starts March):  $180
