Your little one pushes for chances to explore alone then clings to your side. A music and movement class that involves parent and child together strikes the right chord! “Our Time” treasures the parent-child bond while seeking to engage the children directly in musical discovery. A carefully chosen balance of activities each week will keep these little ones hopping!

45 minute class weekly for 15 weeks. (4 different themes on a 2-year rotating cycle)

Features: singing, vocal play, dancing, creative movement with props (hoops, scarves, balls), interactive stories, language development, fingerplays, exploring simple percussion instruments, Active Listening, information on music and brain development.

Winter 2012 Theme

“Away We Go” is our transportation theme.  Join us for songs, stories and movement all about trains, boats, airplanes, buses, even a steamroller! Home instrument is a pair of harmonicas – one for the child and one for the parent.  How can you have train songs without a harmonica?!

Continue the musical learning and fun at home with two CD’s featuring 50 songs, sounds and recordings of favourite activities from class. Two interactive storybooks—“Shiny Dinah” and “ Giddy-Up” help to develop early literacy skills.  Plus a Home Activity Book full of additional activity suggestions; and parent and child harmonicas, all in a Shiny Dinah train box.
