Family Time

Recommended from birth - 7 years (with at least 1 adult)

Siblings of different ages can attend together!

While the best learning environment for most children will still be an appropriately age-focused class, this is a convenient option for those times when two or more separate classes are not possible.

The following items are included so you can continue the fun at home through the week:

  • two CDs of everything we use in class, plus extra selections for listening enrichment
  • two musical instruments
  • two storybooks
  • an activity book with some musical games to play together and more suggestions for family music-making

Features: singing, creative movement and dance, instrument exploration, interactive story times, listening activities, creative use of props, each family encouraged to try it their own way!

Spring Theme (May 26 to June 29)

Multi-Age (Family Time birth to age 7 with at least one adult)

Children of different ages can attend this lively class together. Using the Zoo Train curriculum, we will be adapting it to fit a multi-age format.  Class will include a family instrument jam session, as well as movement activities that the big kids can do on their own while the little ones may be cuddling with mom or dad. Wait till we all romp on the floor together like polar bears!  Single children may enroll as well.

45 minute class includes Zoo Train book, Home CD and animal shaker instrument

5 week Family Time classes

First child           $145

Second child      $115

Third child         $50
Discounts will be applied after registration and before yuor credit card is charged.

** Infants under 1 year are free when an older sibling registers for a Family Time class

Winter 2012 Theme (January to May)

In Make Way For Music families will sing, dance, and move their way through an exploration of several elements of music: beat and rhythm, concepts and contrasts, the human voice, instrument families, and ensemble. Engage in activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including fingerplays, songs, circle dances, story time, and family jam!

First sibling $295           Second Sibling $165      For each additional sibling $115     

Babies under 1 year may attend free of charge with an older sibling
